Import guide

The practical rules for importing supported financial statements, investments, and equity awards into Ratio.

Accepted formats include AMEX, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, HSBC, NAB, Westpac, Xero, CommSec, Stake, Hostplus, Carta award and lifecycle PDFs, Carta portfolio-company Excel reports, ATO obligation PDFs, annual investment tax statements, and mortgage statements. CSV and Excel files are limited to 2 MB and 5,000 rows; supported PDFs are limited to 4 MB.

Duplicate detection uses file checksums and row fingerprints. If a statement has already been imported, Ratio shows a duplicate warning instead of silently writing the same events again.

Known limitations for the live MVP: invite-only access, request-based access rather than open checkout, no live bank feeds, no general-purpose OCR, and AI chat is only available when the OpenAI API key is configured.
