CSV import guide

The practical rules for importing supported financial statements into Ratio.

Accepted statement formats: AMEX CSV, Commonwealth Bank CSV, HSBC CSV, and Xero bank-account CSV. Imports are limited to 2 MB and 5,000 rows.

Duplicate detection uses file checksums and row fingerprints. If a statement has already been imported, Ratio shows a duplicate warning instead of silently writing the same events again.

Known limitations for the live MVP: invite-only access, CSV import only, request-based access rather than open checkout, no live bank feeds, no PDF/OCR import, and AI chat is only available when the OpenAI API key is configured.
